Features

The Starline .458 SOCOM Brass starts with incredibly consistent metallurgy, precise tooling, tight quality control, and more than 40 years of experience. Every piece of Starline .458 SOCOM Brass is guaranteed to have a flash hole presence and to be in the length and diameter as it should be to fit .458 SOCOM rounds perfectly.

Unlike many of Starline’s competitors’ brass cases, the Starline .458 SOCOM Brass is drawn vertically, which would have an effect of minimizing its wall thickness’s variation.

In terms of reliability, every Starline .458 SOCOM Brass has been effectively tested at elevated pressures that are suitable for Magnum Heavy Hunting Loads in their corresponding gun systems. In this area, Starline has it on its top priority to never release any faulty brass cases to the market, and the Starline .458 SOCOM Brass is no exception to that high standard.

When loaded with black powder, the annealing of mouth might be necessary to allow the Starline .458 SOCOM Brass case to properly seal the chamber due to the lower pressures that are generated by the .458 SOCOM rounds.

The Starline .458 SOCOM Brass case was specifically designed to be strong enough to easily withstand the high-pressure loads that are associated with smokeless hunting loads. Since there is only 1 way of making the .458 SOCOM Brass case harder, Starline has put in a ton of work on their materials engineering aspect to make the brass cases stiffer.

As such, Starline could allow shooters to anneal for their specific applications without going through any troubles. When it comes to selecting the best .458 SOCOM Brass cases, you wouldn’t want to choose anything but Starline for your reloading needs.

Customer Reviews

Albert Ronson from Huntsville, AL: 5/5 stars

‘I’ve been reloading for more than a couple years now. After the dust settled about the 458 SOCOM I put one together and thought I’d give Starline a try I’ve been using their .308 and 5.56 brass for more than a couple years so I bought a bag of their brass at a gun show. Tested all of the brass in the bag and found it well within SAMI specs.

Hats off Starline, you’re QA is damn good. The first time through loading the brass it went better than I expected. The cartridge/cases were concentric and were easy to load. Fired them all at the range (over two days) and then reloaded. No issues with the brass being hard to work with.

So, I’ve done this seven times. I started annealing the brass after the second round to keep it from work hardening. Most importantly, I have NOT had a single instance hardening or case breakdown. Very satisfied with another fine product from Starline. Thank you, folks! Keep it up. V/R Al’

Gary Williams from Valdosta, GA: 5/5 stars

‘This is the toughest and best brass. I am a reloader with 50+ years of handgun, rifle, and shotshell experience, so when I started the 458 SOCOM, This was a step up from my 5.56. Starline you make an old reloader proud. I would not think of buying anything else.’

Charles Semenko from Elpaso, Texas: 5/5 stars

‘I have been reloading for over 23 years and used my own used brass or new brand name brass. I was apprehensive about using Star Line until after trying their products. Now I cannot say enough good things about their brass.

They have good quality control procedures in place and provide a superior product for reloading. I have been using both their brass and nickel-plated brass in a variety of calibers from 380, 9mm, 357 SIG to 45 LC, 45-70, 458 SOCOM and about half a dozen I did not mention for about two years now, so I had no concerns when I found out they were my only option for 458 SOCOM Brass.

I am very pleased. Their 458 SOCOM brass and nickel-plated brass slip right into my headspace gauge without re-sizing. The brass lasts beyond my expectation without annealing. I am more concerned about the brass from the factory ammo I ordered with the factory’s headstamp on their brass, a noticeable quality difference from Starline’s. I strongly recommend Starline Brass for all brass reloading needs.’

Conclusion

As you can see, Starline has their .458 SOCOM Brass Cases sold in almost every state in America. Customers have nothing but nice things to say about it. You can rest assured as the Starline .458 SOCOM Brass will never fail to put a smile on your face as you reload.
